Le nitrate d’omoconazole est un dérivé imidazole doué d’une activité antifongique. L’activité fongistatique a été démontrée in vitro et s’excerce sur les agents responsables des atteintes cutanéo-muqueuses ; dermatophytes (trichophyton, epidermophyton, microsporum) candida et Autres levures : pityrosporum orbiculare (agent du pityriasis versicolor) pityrosporum ovale (agent du pityriasis capitis) ; ainsi que vis à vis de l’aspergillus.
L’activité bactéricide du nitrate d’omoconazole a été démontrée in vitro vis à vis des bactéries Gram positif.

SURFACE TRAITEE ETENDUEDu fait du faible taux de résorption de l’omoconazole sur une peau saine, on peut pratiquement exclure le risque d’apparition d’effets systémiques. Par contre, sur une peau lésée, une grande surface ou chez le nourrisson (en raison du rapport surface/poids et de l’effet d’occlusion des couches), la prudence s’impose.

Posologie Usuelle :
Aplication biquotidienne.

Mode d’Emploi :
Pulvériser après agitation du flacon à plus de 10 cm des lésions et faire suivre l’application d’un massage doux et régulier jusqu’à pénétration complète. L’utilisation régulière de
Fongamil jusqu’à disparition des lésions est déterminante pour la réussite du traitement. La durée minimale du traitement est de trois semaines.
